I'm so sick of people whining about bloody politics.

PAP is in control. There's no doubt about that. Has been and will be for a ruddy long time.

They're doing a relatively great job and kudos to them. What makes people who criticise their socks off think they can be any better?

Woes of mother

I swear, when I become a mother next time, I'll suffer.

When will a mother's heart be ever relaxed? She's forever worried from the time she carries her first child...

I never saw my mommy cry the way she did when she tried to get my sister understand why she was against her decision to go for a student exchange programme with her boyfriend.

If it were up to me, sure, go ahead if you can promise not to hanky panky.

 But tongues will always wag.

And yea, it would not be ideal for my mom to teach how to bring up your children in a Christian home if she does accede to Can's request. She's always been very vocal about not having her children go overseas with their boyfriends.

I'd forgone my chance of going for exchange programme coz I was too chicken to do it alone.
I wanted to go badly. But I was sorely sick of thinking about being all alone in a foreign land away from my family...

So here's my sister wanting the best of everything and putting my mom in such a painful position.

From a 3rd person's standpoint, I'd ask ONE question.

"What is your objective of going for this exchange programme?"

You don't need to go with your bf if you truly wanted to experience the programme.

Unless your objective was more of "I want to experience life overseas with my bf while on a student exchange programme".

Here's how I would solve this:

1. State objective of going for the programme.
2. If bf goes, you don't go. If you go, bf doesn't.
3. Afraid to go alone? Don't go.
4. Want to go? Go alone, make new friends.
5. Refer to number 1 to reinforce all points.


I'm not a 'Holy' person. Quite the opposite. I've alr proclaimed myself to be an outlaw of the church.
Not preachy, but just a thought I didn't dare ask because I'm in no position to. Nonetheless, a valid question to aid in the decision making, "Would your choice glorify God?"

Essentially meant, "What kind of example are you setting?"


'Nuff said.

Not like anything I say have any impact on the outcome.

A Royal Affair

A Royal Affair. A Danish Historical Film I chanced upon during my bedridden weekend of the much dreaded Crimson River.

WATCH IT.

That's all I have to say.

Two Thumbs up! And I'd supply my two stubby toes if I have to convince you further.

This has gotta be one of the best historical/ drama/ romance film I've watched in eons!
Am trying to get Robsie to watch it too but I doubt he would. >.<

Best yet ever since Elizabeth (1998).

Me loves period dramas.

Lush costumes, vivid colours, fantastic plot. Intricately detailed props, well written dialogues, acting so real you don't even notice for a second that they're acting at all.

Any else to recommend?


I saw Farewell, My Queen too. Wanted to watch it on my plane ride to Manila but settled with Hope Springs and Remembrance (German Film) on my way back.

Farewell, My Queen is a French Film.
Unlike A Royal Affair, I didn't think there was much room for imagination with regard to the plot albeit fictional.
Nothing too enchanting about a queen being lesbianly obsessed with a duchess whilst her loyal servant hides in the shadow, harbouring a lesbian crush on the queen.

I dunno, perhaps with all my lesbian tendencies in the world put together, I can't muster enough lesbianism to appreciate such display of lesbianess.









And I don't understand why the lady in green is occupying like 45% of the movie poster when she's only like 10% airtime. And she's not even that pretty!!!

The French Actress who played The Duchess whom the queen was obsessed with.

The German Actress who played the queen. 

She's so gorgeous! 

See? The queen is much prettier than the duchess lady. And woman, we don't need to see your bra. That's what the buttons are for.

This was taken at the Berlin Film Festival. And the lady didn't even bother to comb her hair.

LOL. Fine. I don't like her coz she spoilt the movie. Being all pompous and steal limelight and all. !@#$^%&^*(

Shattered within minutes in Troy.

Period dramas! Me needs to watch more period dramas.
