Of group and solitary inclinations

Everyone, at some point in their lives, yearns to be part of a group, a community, a body that shares a common interest or the likes.

Well yea, me too.
But not quite.

How shall I explain this phenomena?

I've this innate desire for people to include me in their mini-circles (or big, whichever), but I choose to be reclusive and opt out of attempts to engage me.

Oh, believe me, I do feel a morsel of happiness and validation of worth when asked to be included. But I'd rather not be. I'm happy being on my own or with people I deem dear to me.

It's as if I've reached my limits of "loved ones" and can no longer accommodate anyone else. The 'love' would not be the same; it would be 'patronising' at best. Simply coz there's only this much love I can offer.

I've yet to figure out why. There's a need for this sort of behaviour to be analysed. I want to know why.

This ambivalence is rather annoying. I want people to approach me and ask, "Hey, wanna join us for yadda yadda?" Then I derive satisfaction of having politely declined their offer.
Not to spite anyone really. But... I don't know.

You tell me. Coz I haven't the slightest clue at all.

Heh. Eventually, people do tend to stop including me coz you know, experience breeds familiarity. They'd have expected me to say "No" anyway.

My response to that? I develop feelings of being the slightest bit offended and disappointed.

=.=

Am I weird or am I weird?

Coz it's pouring outside and I'm snuggly inside

Ataraxia.

For I know that He's always watchful; keeping me forever and for always.

Nay, nothing is impossible.

TV maniac

I'm superficial.

Bite me.

I procrastinated errands and chores to be done and minimised meeting people today because I've got a horrendous case of acne outbreak. 3 HUMONGOUS zits on my face. Doesnt help that I tried to pick at one of them.

Seriously now, this cannot be happening! Not especially when I've just had an IPL facial treatment last week!

Argh!

Hormones? The death of me.

These zits won't see the light of day. Not if I can help it!
So yea, I skipped Bible class tonight. Because I didn't want people staring at my zits, nor talking to me, asking how I'm doing and so on and so forth. Not in the mood for small chats and pleasantries.

Reclusive much?

You bet.

Yes, I revel in a state of mini depression when I feel fat or like when you look at me, it makes you wanna connect-the-zits.

Having said that, I do have something to be excited about.

Fall is here. Quite naturally, good things come along with.

US drama series and sitcoms will be rocking on and taking over my TV screen in no time! :D

Alright, not my TV but my computer screen.

The addict that I am; this sets butterflies free, fluttering high and low and to corners unknown in my tummy.

Survivor Philippines Season 25.
    Premieres Sept 19.

Intuition tells me from first glance that this season doesn't seem to be all too exciting.
Am keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
It's kinda passe to be bringing back castaways from previous seasons and I'm not sure I'm into the three tribes separation thing. Besides, as much as the girls look fine this season, the best looking guy here is this dude who looks like he's barely out of school:

How I Met Your Mother Season 8.
    Premieres Sept 24.

Is this finally finally concluding? I mean, we already know Robin's getting married to Barney but I just wanna know, like FINALLY, who is the mother to Ted's children! They've been listening to far too many stories of these uncles and aunties for far too long.

Not that I've taken much interest to this show really. Just one of the shows that I watch because everyone else is watching and I'm spose to be the TV addict so I HAVE TO watch it. :p

Parks and Recreation Season 5.
    Premieres Sept 20.

The people of Pawnee would be delighted to vote for Leslie Knope :)
Quite honestly, Leslie's relationship with Ben is a bit icky for me, but whatever goes.

This show has, for me, increasingly surpassed The Office (ever since the departure of Steve Carell).
So yea, I'm looking forward to April's dead pan expression and Ron's rock-ass quotes.

Happy Endings Season 3.
Premieres Oct 23.

The alternative sitcom to Friends. Of course, not quite as funny and I don't get the part about making Adam's character gay. Evidently a case of doing it for the sake of doing it. Still watchable though. :)

Modern Family Season 4.
Premieres Sept 26.

Despite contract disputes, Modern Family's right on track. Cameron got me hooked onto the show in its very first episode with the scene from The Lion King. I swear I laughed for a good 2 minutes as I take delight in spamming the rewind button.

How can anyone not love this show? Phil Dunphy may as well be reaching out of my computer screen and tickling me silly.

And I believe Robs would agree with Luke Dunphy hands down about monsterations. Lol.

The Office Season 9.
Premieres Sept 20.

Chose this image because Steve Carell is representative of The Office. You can't have the show without him. That's just wrong.

The Office wraps up with its final season. At long last. Quite honestly, should have been done 2 seasons ago. Season 8 was redundantly leading us to its excruciating and impending demise. Nonetheless, NBC's hoping that Dunder Mifflin might just get a surprise visit Michael Scott this coming season. *Fingers crossed*

Oh, and let's say hello to Jake Lacy shall we?

Dexter Season 7.
Premieres Sept 30.

As we inch closer to, quite possibly the most adored serial killer- Dexter for the seventh time, (sources have cited that this is potentially the second last season) I'm all tingly in my toes. Exactly what happens next?!

Dexter kills Debra??? Intense. Very.

The Vampire Diaries Season 5.
Premieres Oct 11.

How many vampires do I have to care about these days?
Heh.

Argh. Season 4 fell flat. At least for me it did. I lost interest somewhere before episode 4. From there on, it was the question of how long can good looks capture my attention.
The cast is beautiful. That's all I can say.

Let's have a look-see shall we?

Obviously, these three. Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.

Yes. Need I say more?

But wait, like it or not, there is more!

Michael Trevino.
The werewolf much sexier than Twilight's Jacob. Ha!

Matthew Davis.

Steven R. McQueen.
Just so happens that this guy turned out to be quite a hunk as the show progresses.

Dying to watch Elena's transition and how the love triangle pans out. Heh. Personally, I'd pick Damon. :)

Revenge Season 2.
Premieres Sept 20.

The show's pretty much centred in on Amanda Clarke taking revenge on the rich Graysons and friends who were part of conspiring against her late father who was murdered in prison.
Excuse me while I ogle at the handsome Daniel Grayson

starring Josh Bowman

and Amanda's childhood flame, Jack Porter

Starring Nick Wechsler

Like Jennifer Garner in Alias, Emily Vancamp's got the cool moves and sophistication in line with her vengeful ways.

Why so preeeetteeeee?!

Channel 5's just started airing season 1, which will end with Victoria Grayson and Lydia Davis boarding a private jet that crashes.

Once Upon A Time Season 2.
Premieres Sept 30.

Here's a drama series that's so meeeee. Favourite show yet. Though I must say, Jennifer Morrison was a disappointing choice for the cast. I dunno if it's the acting or something, her character/acting was not convincing at all.
Other than that, am psyched about the show.
All fairytale characters come to live, intertwined and switching between fairytale and modern day setting. Costumes, story plot, coolness and coolness all in one show.
As the story unfolds, it surprises you with twists and keeps you guessing. Can't wait!

Oh! And the famous tagline Prince Charming and Snow White shares,

 "I Will Always Find You."

How sweet. :)

Community Season 4.
Premieres Oct 19.

So after talk of the show being canned, NBC renewed the show despite relatively low ratings.
Yay for viewers like me but still apprehensive as NBC has given its creator, Dan Harmon, the cut. Something about a feud with Chevy Chase (Pierce Hawthorne). Seriously though, I'd have given Chevy Chase the boot. Hated his character and he's an old fart- you don't bite the hand that feeds you. 'Nuff said.

This sitcom was a bore for me in Season 1. I found it hard to watch; drew little laughs and left me unsatisfied. Well, fortunately, I had plenty time to stick it thru to Season 2, and boy have I found treasure in this clever sitcom.
This show kicks off in Season 2 for me. It was what really brought out its essence and developed the characters vividly. I was totally reeled in when I saw the Paintball episode. Season 3 brought it up a notch and I'd recommend Remedial Chaos Theory episode any time.

2 Broke Girls Season 2.
Premieres Sept 24.

Here's a comedy that I can most certainly relate to! Light humour, easy watching and very relatable--
I'm broke. And I'm very broke.
Heh.

Seriously. I have a 93 sq metres apartment that costs more than half a mil to finance. STAB ME PLEASE.

I wish I was born rich.

Or, I wish I'll marry rich.

Forget me becoming rich coz that's never gonna happen. Yea, I mean, havent u seen the above list of TV shows that I watch?!

That, PLUS, I used to watch Desperate Housewives (show ended), Glee (got boring), Gossip Girl (ditto), Big Brother (ditto), CSI (ditto), The Amazing Race (ditto), America's Next Top Model (ditto), The Bachelor/ Bachelorette (depressing), Big Bang Theory (trying too hard to be funny).

And a lot of others on TV that I failed to mention.

oh, and add random Korean dramas to the list.

=.=

Someone shake me and tell me to get a life. Please.

They say life is full of ups and downs.

I've had my fair share of valleys and plateaus.

There's only hills and mountains left to ascend.

And I thank God for being faithful in answering my prayers.

He knows just what I need-- He satisfies, and every need supplies. Yes, he knows just what I need.
