27th April 2010

Booo.

Oh you know how exams are.
You'd do anything from picking at your toenail to trying on all your mother's rings on all your fingers while typing a blogpost that has a less-than-creative title.
(gee. My fingers are really short! Ugh...)
You'd do every other thing except revising for the wretched exams.

Heh.

Dude VS Geek

Present a normal dude with a brassiere and ask him what it is.

He'll say "A bra."

or

"Lingerie."

Show it to a geek and he'd say,

"A sturdy, breathable fabric designed to maintain mammary elasticity."

LOL!

For some strange reason, I think the latter one turns me on.

Blogshops

I've decided against making purchases from online blogshops for apparels.

Simply coz:

# Almost always about the same kind of items U'd see like 1000000 other girls in Singapore would be wearing.

# They will only look good on the models in the blogshops. Who are, btw, slim, pretty, and well... like models.

# Some materials they're made of makes you wonder if the price u paid is worth it at all.

SO WHY AM I STILL FRIGGIN CLICKING AWAY AT VARIOUS BLOGSHOPS?!?

Cleaning up after yourself

Say.

Your mom cooks dinner. She spends much time and effort preparing your meals.

The family eats dinner. Everyone's happy.

Then who does the dishes? Your mom?

Again?

Seriously. That's unfair. The least YOU can do is help with the washing up.

Your dad's prolly the one bringing the bread home so he can be excused.

But not you.

And here's why (if u dont already know)...
You were feeding off your mom's nutrients like a parasite whilst in her womb.
You're practically a 'loafer' because your parents had to take care of you and tend to your daily needs.
And they'd be giving you allowances till you're capable of getting them yourself from elsewhere.

So can u imagine not helping out around the house? You're like the worthless family member who contributes nothing to the family.
A.k.a- Parasite.

I DESPISE people who don't help out around the house and give no contributions. It's unpardonable IMO. If u're part of the family, then act like you are part of it.
Otherwise, live elsewhere.

I've been to Kelv's hse for project work countless of times. He helps with the cooking, the cleaning, and he drives his mom to and from work.

Aww... I'd like to have a son like that.

And then u have people who-
Leaves the dishes in the sink for DAYS.
When U ask 'em to wash it, they go like "I WILL! Later!"
But "later!" never comes and u end up doing the dishes yourself. We're not talking about all the pots and pans and everyone's dishes.
No. Just the one used by that person.

I'm gonna watch and see how long it takes for that bowl sitting in the sink be washed by the same person who used it.

And I'm gonna watch and see who's gonna take out the trash next.
Hopefully, it wont have to be the one who took them out like the last 10 times.

Life

I can't get over the suicide incident...

It really irks me.

I chanced upon a girl's blog. A young lady to be exact. Someone my age. Someone I've never met. Someone I know who is dying of an illness (as gathered from reading all her blog entries)...

Someone from the other end of the spectrum from the suicide guy.
Unlike him, she cherishes life. She wants to hold on to it...
She sees beauty in it. Her only hope now is that God grants her the time that she needs.

I'm ashamed of me. How I lived my life.
I'd indulged in countless of frivolous rantings, complaints, insults, arguments.....

Kind Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived, said

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
(Ecclesiastes 1:14)

I guess I do need constant reminders of my purpose in life. How short the span of time I have here...

I shall end with a beautiful clip I've once seen. It's about "The Pale Blue Dot" (Carl Sagan)

There is such a thing as being too late.

Another friend of a friend committed suicide.

This person happens to be my age. He was a fellow poly-mate in LSCT, a friend to Gdine and Valarie.

Disturbingly shocking.

For what seemed to be the "only way out" for him would be his life's biggest regret.

Friends and family would say "Rest in Peace".

Not me.

Do not be mistaken for I'm not cold-hearted.

Some of you may disagree with my stance and perceive me to be ignorant or being too sure of my beliefs. It is only but the truth. So this I will say.

Indeed I am grieved for the loss of a soul. I know for a fact that his soul does not rest in peace. His soul has not reconciled with God and is now lost forever...
That plunge he took from the building was the commencement of his journey to a place where there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth" for all eternity.

Nothing anyone says matters now. He died. People grieve and people move on...
It just bothers me to my very core that it was indeed a very bad decision.

1 Corinthians 3:17:

"If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

God gave life. He's the creator of men. Suicide is going against His will. It is obtrusively a defying act. It is the murdering of oneself. Giving no respect to life. It is a selfish act. VERY selfish act. It solves nothing but creates consternation and more tragedies.

I am deeply sorrowful. Not just that. As much as I am sad, I am angered. There are so many people out there fighting for a chance to live life. Fending against diseases, natural calamities, in war, in whatever that there is... Say, I'm sure u're familiar with some charity shows aired on local television! How much those people (from our very own home ground)strive so much to live life...

And there he was...

No, I won't call him a coward. He did what I would never dare to do. It's only that he was brave for the wrong reasons.

Yes, there he was, taking what he thought was the easy way out. For whatever reasons he had, it is not justifiable for him to kill himself.
Alas it is too late for his soul now...
But for you who's reading this, it's not.

Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

I know it's cliche to say this but today is the day of salvation. Jesus' blood shed on the cross was for the salvation of mankind.

Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Believe you me that there is indeed a God.

Would u choose to believe it is not so then die and spend eternity in the burning furnace or seek salvation while you're still here?

The choice is yours.

Dont say I never told you about God. Don't say I never told you about Jesus.

Romans 14:12
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

So if there be a God...

U do the imagination.

Me likes...

Me likes Chicken.
Grilled, Roasted and Barbecued especially.
I've been having chicken at least once a day everyday for two weeks now. It's the most awesome feeling.

Me likes rambling on about what-nots for no reason.
To myself especially.
I've been rambling on at least 5 times a day everyday for as long as I can remember now. It's something inevitable. I can't help it.

Me likes listening to Michael Buble.
He's like the best ever!
Maybe he'll marry me instead if I were an Argentinian model. Heh.

Me likes reading novels and watching films and dramas.
Am guilty of a head full of froth but it's a past time or probably a habit I can't deny myself of. It's a catastrophe if I'm deprived of fiction in any form.
I've been reading fiction and watching films and dramas for eons. Try and stop me, I'll be sure to "stab your eyeballs till they burst".

Me likes my thigh friend.
She's a laugh! And my eyes are always on the roll so much so they would roll to the back of my head and threaten to pop outta the sockets.
It's been 6 years now. Still rollin.

Me likes Robsie.
A lot.
Especially when he's like super geeky. It's cool. In a geeky way. In a specifically-geeky-way-I-cant-describe-but-geeky-in-a-good-or-otherwise-cute-way. Perhaps too geeky to comprehend.
Been bouts 2 years now. Still geeky. And me likes.
*wonders when I can defeat him in a game of chess*

Me likes Chocolates.
Sweeeeeeet~
It's only like the best comfort food ever. Other than ice cream. And cakes. And milkshakes. And ice cream. And cakes...
Heh.

Me likes Coca-Cola.
It's like the coolest drink ever.
And I need one now.

Like NOW.
