HEH.
Ah well...
Just yesterday, J asked, "What are you doing?"
"Being Happy." was my reply.
J contemplated for a bit and decided that he liked my answer.
I do know that I've been perpetually complaining and feeling miserable because of how "bad" my life is. Truth is, I'm as contented as can be. It's just that by certain standards, I do strive for a 'better life', as I would call it.
Perhaps ppl are just often too cynical.
Ah well... simple exchange of words could really make someone's day. Even if it's just a smile, or a "thank you". How bout holding the lift door for someone? Anything really!
I do appreciate minor things like that. I get peeved when some rude arse steps on my toes without apologising (when he knows it esp). Happened many times.
Oh wells. Of course, I do meet nice ppl. Im grateful for all the nice people that God has led me to. I guess the "bad" ones are just a test for my patience.
Do not belittle compliments. Be generous with them. I'm practising that myself.
Quoting Teddy "Kareen, I think you're really lovely."
Me, "Aw really? Thank you! I think so too!"
LOL.
Ok, maybe not. I meant complimenting others.
Which I did. "Teddy, I think you're cute too. Really."
Honestly, I had a very long day and was feeling gloomy and all. That short conversation of no more than 5 minutes really did magic.
That made 2 happy ppl. Then agn, Teddy's always happy. :)
So there u go. Make someone's day now and start giving compliments liberally! Of course, do mean what u say.
