Question to Ponder

I hrd this on the radio.
What would you be, if you were a household electrical appliance? And why?

My answer was- I'd be the water heater. Providing warmth when in need, and will always be HOT when turned on. Heh.

Thought it'll be interesting to ask other ppl. Soooo.. bored as I was, bum stuck to the office chair, I sent out quite a few sms-es.

Here were the answers-

Jessica- I'd be a heater, coz I'm hot.


Ruth- A slow cooker. Brings out the flavour in food.
ChongYew- I'll be an aircon, coz I'm always feeling hot.
Auntie Chui Hoon- Stove. Multi-purpose and useful.
Canida- Blender! It makes delicious concoctions!
IF she's EVER a blender. I can be sure I'll nvr use it. LOL. Canida, You know why.

Y.J- Oooo, that's difficult. I love household appliances. I'll be a Red KitchenAid mixer! Becoz it's red, not many appliances come in that colour and I just love mixers.

I KNEW IT!

J.O- Toaster. I like to toast the bread nice nice~
Gary- I will want to be a TOASTER! Because with each new day, it will begin with me!
Thought it was nice.

Jon- An iron. So I can straigten myself up.
Auntie Sharon- I guess I'd like to be an iron. I can straighten all the imperfections. To me, it's like repentance. Ironing is very therapeutic.
Looks like A.Sharon has found a therapeutic remedy to her creasing troubles! It's an inspirational answer.

Remi- Early morning, give me such a tough qn. Iron. Coz it looks very tough but can be smooth and easy going.

Tough wouldnt be a word to describe Remi's outward appearance.. But Remi's a great guy who's smooth and easy going alright.

Daniel- I would be an electric vibrator. Do I still have to explain why?

No thanks.

Nigel- A vibrator. Just because.

P.F-Why suddenly ask this kind of weird qn one? If I were a household appliance, I will choose the light, coz I want to brighten up your life.
Sean- I would be a fluorescent light, who brights up the life of many.
Auntie Frances- Just a bulb. You don't light a candle in a bright room.
I guess she meant, there won't be a need for a candle if a bulb can do a great job in lightin up a room. :)

Reuben- I want to be an electric socket, so I can turn ppl on.
Ben- I'll be a multi-purpose plug, so I can know more ppl.

Angeling- A fan, moving around bus, keeping ppl cool and comfortable. Long lasting, durable, , humble, inconspicuous, low maintenance. Yet not expensive and out of reach to the poor who can't afford aircon.
I think it's another great answer! But my fan isn't exactly inconspicuous... It's dustified. And it costed more than the air con!!! Exorbitant purchase doesnt guarantee reliable product.

Rebecca- Tv. Coz I like to watch TV! It's not that hard work being a tv.
LOL. Who'd like to be MY TV???

Y.F- Refrigerator, that's what I'll be. Coz I store all kind of food in my stomach.
No, he does not! All his food just Disappears... it's like, there's a bermuda triangle in the gastric juices of his, or perhaps, a black hole at the entrance of the small intestine.

There you have it!

I must say... Whatever household appliance u are, it boils down to one thing- How useful you may be. You can be the prettiest, most expensive(branded even), or the most compact/biggest, sturdiest appliance... But! If u're not working, perhaps you're not worth a dime. I thought A.Sharon, Ruth, Gary and Angeling's answers gave me inspirational vibes. So did the others. Well, most of them anyway.

I'm gonnas bes offsss. Sooos, thinks abouts thisss tonightss befores yous gosss tos beddss. IF u were a household appliance, what would you be? Live up to it!
